School News

The Annual Grade 7 Reading Competition was held on Thursday, 8 August 2019, in the school’s media centre. The audience was treated to a story by Tom Hoyle, titled Challenge. The children were soon caught up in a world of intrigue, while many could relate to the main character - who had to cope with losing a loved one, school and peer pressure - as best as a 15-year-old boy can cope in those circumstances.
Mrs Richardson did a sterling job in keeping the flow of the story going while our top readers - Sophie Glibbery, Amy Saunders, Tauqeer Jappie, Chinika Goliath, Jasmin Esau, Emile Doyle, Sage Walton and Siyaam Shaw - battled it out for top place and the honor of winning the trophy.
Congratulations to our winner, Siyaam Shaw, who was well deserving of yet another win. Thanks and appreciation must also go to Mrs J Pons who adjudicated the competition for us.
