On the 17th/18th of October, the Grade 7's, in teams, spent the day constructing a 3D house as part of their Mathematics assessment.
The children had to decipher 2D plans and measurements, and follow detailed instructions in order to become budding architects. After four hours, the groups had successfully constructed their houses using nets and tabs, and had finished putting the last-minute artistic touches to their plots.
The children can be congratulated for showing tenacity and good team work throughout the practical assessment. These skills will certainly equip them in high school.
