On Thursday, 18 July 2019, the Music Department presented the first of three Studio Concerts. The boys were very excited and nervous for their first match this term.

We arrived at Old Grey and the team went onto Court 1, to warm up.

Our Herbert Hurd Team was played phenomenally well and proceeded to win every game that they played.

We can be extremely proud of the following players:  Stewart Frieslaar, Tai Pugh, Muzammil Jogee and Duncan Le Roux.

Squash is becoming very popular at Herbert Hurd and we currently have 26 keen players attending practices on Tuesdays and Thurdays after school.

Well done to our Squash Team, you made Herbert Hurd extremely proud on Friday.

Herbert Hurd took part in the Annual Mathematics Competition held at St George’s Preparatory School on Monday 22 July.  The grade four, five, six and seven classes each entered a team of four.  The competition consisted of three rounds where questions were answered in each section.  There were winners in each grade and the overall winner was judged according to the total number of points scored by all four teams.  Well done to the Herbert Hurd team who won the trophy for the second year running.  We are so proud of these pupils.
