Grade 7 Reading Competition

The Annual Grade 7 Reading Competition was held on Thursday, 8 August 2019, in the school’s media centre. The audience was treated to a story by Tom Hoyle, titled Challenge. The children were soon caught up in a world of intrigue, while many could relate to the main character - who had to cope with losing a loved one, school and peer pressure - as best as a 15-year-old boy can cope in those circumstances. Mrs Richardson did a sterling job in keeping the flow of the story going while our top readers - Sophie Glibbery, Amy Saunders, Tauqeer Jappie, Chinika Goliath, Jasmin Esau, Emile Doyle, Sage Walton and Siyaam Shaw - battled it out for top place and the honor of winning the trophy.
