Founders Day 2019

65th Founders Day Assembly 26 April 2019 Mr Harris completed his 25th Founders Day assembly today, a milestone in our school's history. The hall was packed to the rafters with pupils and parents who joined in the celebrations. Hats off to our junior and senior choirs, as well as the band, who sang and played so beautifully. Congratulations to the Ambassadorial students who were selected.

Grade 4 Heritage Trail Outing

The Grade Four pupils had an amazing time walking around our beautiful city while learning about our heritage. Our tour guide, Tracey Andrews, shared some very interesting information with us. This outing was enjoyed by all as we were reminded about how far technology has advanced. We are blessed to call Port Elizabeth our home.

Grade Outing to Sundays River

The Grade 5 pupils went on an exciting trip down the Sundays River. We were lucky enough to see lots of monkeys and even some rare birds along the way. Once arriving at the high dunes, the pupils were able to experience dry sand boarding. They were also given the opportunity to sand board from a higher point and skim across the water. Some went shooting to the other side of the river, others landed half way in the river but all had to swim back to shore. Everyone had a thrilling time. The day ended off with some good snacks and a boat ride back to the bus. The learners sang the whole way home.

Grade 5 Literary Day

The Grade Fives held their Literary Day on Thursday 18 April. The pupils came dressed as a character from their book and presented a book oral to the class. Well done to the pupils who put in a lot of effort and made their stories come alive. Eight pupils were selected to present their orals to the whole grade. We also held a literary quiz where each class was represented by four pupils. Well done to Room 30 who won the quiz. Orators 2019 Cohen O Connor. Rm 30 Lara Aspeling.
